We now have an immediate vacancy for a suitably qualified Engineer to join our growing team. Find Out More The Role: Evaluate defective IT equipment and storage media to root cause Diagnose and repair electronic and computer equipment to component level Formulate appropriate corrective actions for the successful reclamation of data Utilise software and hardware tools to effect an efficient recovery/forensic analysis Solder and rework of components to affect the repair Work with our vendors and team to develop new tools, processes and procedures Analyse yields and propose improvements Document each project using tracking system The Person: Should have a suitable qualification to at least degree level Have a strong knowledge of IT systems and electronics Must be a natural engineer Possess the aptitude & understanding for the failing mechanisms on data storage media Have good knowledge of data recovery tools and techniques Have knowledge & understanding of encryption technologies Possess a good demonstrable knowledge of various file systems such as Linux, UFS+ Be a practical individual and have an interest in IT and electronic debug and repair Be capable of reworking surface mount components to a high standard Be commercially astute and understand the need to get tasks completed on time Questions: 1.
